Geoffrey Deckelbaum
Private Lender and Founding Member
With more than two decades of experience in real estate finance, Geoffrey Deckelbaum brings a deep understanding of both traditional and private lending to the residential development and construction industries. A seasoned professional, he spent 12 years in real estate lending with a major financial institution before transitioning into hard money lending in 2011.
Deckelbaum began his career at Bank of America, where he served as Senior Vice President, originating and managing a diverse portfolio of loans for residential developers and builders. During his tenure, he originated more than $2 billion in new loans and managed a $500 million portfolio of outstanding balances, serving clients across Georgia, Florida, Texas, New Jersey and New York.
Since 2011, Deckelbaum has focused on private lending in the Atlanta market, providing real estate debt solutions for borrowers whose needs fall outside traditional financing parameters. His lending expertise spans investment property acquisition, new home construction loans for experienced builders, and financing for owner-occupied and investment commercial properties, including small office, retail and industrial assets.
A longtime Atlanta resident since 1994, Deckelbaum holds a degree in Finance and Marketing from Emory University.
Angie McDaniel
Controller
Angie McDaniel brings extensive accounting and construction industry experience to her role as Controller at SRP Lending, with a career spanning back to 1996. Over the past two decades, she has held senior leadership positions overseeing financial operations, reporting, and strategic planning for construction and real estate organizations. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Oklahoma. Angie’s expertise spans various sectors: commercial, mixed-use, retail, residential, land development, medical offices, and hospital retrofits.
Known for her attention to detail and collaborative leadership style, Angie has successfully led financial operations for key projects across Southeast markets such as Atlanta, Charleston, Savannah, Greenville, Chattanooga, and Orlando. Her deep knowledge of construction processes and financial management has been instrumental in fostering strong relationships with bankers and lenders.
Angie thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys working hands-on with teams across departments. Her extensive background in construction accounting and operational finance supports SRP Lending’s continued growth and commitment to delivering exceptional service and results for its clients.
Mark Whitmire
Corporate Strategist
Mark Whitmire has been actively engaged in real estate and construction since 1980, bringing a diverse background as a principal in homebuilding, land development, lending and brokerage firms. Throughout his career, he has maintained a sharp focus on financial and operational execution, successfully guiding multiple businesses through economic challenges, including the Great Recession.
He owns and operates several companies, including MTW Companies, LLC, providing business consulting services; MTW Realty, LLC, a brokerage specializing in land and tax-favored transactions; and MTW Cabinetry, LLC, which supplies custom cabinetry to the residential real estate sector. Whitmire also maintains passive investments in ventures such as a restaurant group, student housing and a regional bank.
Deeply committed to industry and community involvement, Whitmire serves as Co-Chair of the Builder Developer Lender Council and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, where he also teaches as a Continuing Education Instructor. Beyond the industry, he has served on the board of an orphanage and senior center and has been an Executive Mentor for more than 20 years.
Whitmire holds a bachelor’s degree from Shorter University in Rome, Georgia.
